Why Brothers Give, in their own words

When alumni give, they are making a statement about their commitment to Sigma Phi Epsilon and its impact. Everyone has their own WHY for becoming a donor.

Here are some personal testimonials from these generous donors to inspire all of us to do our part. Thank you to these <Brothers/Sisters> for their contributions and for sharing their thoughts:

“I was a Phila. area boy when I went to Penn. The brotherhood I experienced at SPE has been long lasting and most of the members from the Class of 1955 have remained close over the years. Even when you haven’t seen someone for awhile, it feels like it was only yesterday when you do. I think that is worth supporting for others to experience.” – Robert Johnson ’55

“I support the annual fund because I want the guys who come after me to have opportunities to grow into adulthood similar to those I had. Also, I want them to have upper class mentors and alumni advisors to the chapter as I did. I’m proud of the record that Sig Ep at Penn now has in scholarship and activities–they now exemplify true fraternity spirit.” – David Callahan ’60

“The friends I made have been life long. An organization that fosters such friendships should be supported.” – Bernardo Beyer ’71
