’87 gets together again, this time in Palm Springs

The Penn Delta class of 1987 got together recently in Palm Springs, CA for a long weekend.  Hosting the group was John Cherry (from LA) and Ben Argov (who grew up in Palm Springs).  We all stayed in Indio, CA just down the road from the Polo Grounds, site for Coachella – we had to make our own music though.  Besides our hosts, in attendance were:  Andrew Schwartz, Bruce Kirsten, Vito Fossella, Paul Puleo, Joe Halprin, Paul Gabos, Willy Nunn, Joe Whang and Tim Wilson.

There was much tennis, golf, hiking in Joshua Tree National Park, cornhole, dinners, lunches, brunches, beers and time to just hang by the pool and catch up about our very busy lives and families.  Fortunately there were no unexpected trips to the Police Station or Hospital as folks seemed to be on their best behavior.  I guess we have all mellowed with age like the fine wine that was served each night. Old stories were told and new ones were generated just by the fact that we all got together again for what seems like an annual trip.  Next year, the rumor is Florida in the fall, so we will see if Paul Gabos and/or Willy Nunn can organize as well as John and Ben.  We are so blessed to have made lifelong friends at 4028 Walnut.  It is great to just be around such a great group of guys who share so much history.  Some pics of the gents in action.
